Stillness, breathing, movement, sound - practices that help you journey into the liminal, guiding you inward to listen more deeply. The idea however wasn't to keep you there, it was to find the art in living. Moving beyond the introspection, and back into creation. It's where inner work stops being about fixing yourself and becomes about releasing yourself - into the world, into your work, into what only you can make.
When we are able to live from our full expression, our being ripples out. We become a co-creator with all that is around us.
In creating, we shape the cultures we live in - they become a reflection of our values, our truth. And in that authenticity, we create permission for others to surface their own expression. The field expands. Our capacity expands.
This is how inner work becomes cultural work, where together we unearth the new story that our hearts are longing for. It's the invisible architecture that this great turning is calling for.
Welcome
Welcome to Inward
A community embodiment practice where inner work becomes cultural work.
For us, embodiment and expression come hand in hand. We use psycho-somatic technologies, such as sound, breath and movement to awaken a conversation with the body. Then we step into different creative forms: art, dance, music, writing, so that in the act of expressing we reveal more of our true selves.
The invitation is to join us on a three day non-residential retreat, where over the course of the three days we create a body of "work" that reflects what is moving through us.
We invite guest creators - musicians, artists, dancers, filmmakers to be part of our process, guiding us through their art, in live experiences. Together, we explore altered states of consciousness, reveal more of who we are, and create insights as artifacts that can be held in our private online Inner Room.
Practice
A 3 day container to unearth a new story.
Friday 13th – Sunday 15th November 2026. London · Non-residential retreat.
The first cohort is up to 30 seats. A curated circle - creatives, practitioners, conscious builders - each open and curious. Ready to live, lead and create from their most expansive self.
Every day starts with an opening inquiry. We work with the season to harvest what we have been holding onto over the year. After a light lunch of whole and organic food, we move to our Journey Inward. Guided by Alex we work with the body and mind to allow what wants to surface to emerge.
Each afternoon we welcome guest practitioners and artists as we work through different expressive modalities: movement, sound, art, voice. We take the time to fully express ourselves, and see what moves through us.
Over the three days we witness, then we celebrate — closing with a shared dinner.
*Timings and programme flow are subject to change — the work is emergent by nature.
Who this is for
A community of creators
These are people who are stepping into their own path. They are doing the work - both inwardly and outwardly. As people who shape how culture feels, who make the invisible visible, who tend to communities, who determine what gets built and how.
01Musicians and sound makers
02Artists and writers
03Founders and builders
04Technologists and scientists
05Educators and practitioners
06Grassroots community leads
People who recognise their inner lives have an outward ripple - through what they create, how they lead, who they hold. The first circle is London-based. Curated for genuine diversity and breadth of perspectives - of discipline, of background, of walk of life. With a payment structure that reflects this range, to ensure that this is accessible to all.
Our Guide
Alex Potter
Founder of Inward, Lead facilitator, embodiment teacher and body-mind practitioner
I've spent the last decade in deep immersion, training, initiation, and apprenticeship across multiple lineages. Contemplative practices, mystical and indigenous traditions, depth psychology, rites of passage, and somatic modalities. Learning from teachers and practices that have fundamentally shifted how I understand myself and the world.
I learned that the body carries what words often can't reach, it speaks in sensation, impulse, stillness, and movement. A first language we are all learning to remember. I learned the power of listening and the wisdom of the depths. I learned to carry my heart in my hand. I also learned that you can take all of this so seriously you forget the point.
What I've come to realise is that all that transformation only matters if it moves back into life, into creation, into the world. To find the magic in the mundane, and to remember that when the times are serious, we must play. Not in spite of it, but because of it.
Throughout history, virtually every culture created containers to access non-ordinary states of consciousness, through drumming, chanting, dancing, fasting, breath, plant medicine, and ceremony. This is woven into the tapestry of our human experience. These were our rites of passage. Sacred ground to shed the weight of conditioning, to strip back the programming, and to remember who we are and why we are here.
This work is my deepest creative expression: a way of honouring everything I've been given, all that I am. An invitation to remember together.
Alex is also the co-founder of Kaizn, a leadership and human development company, and part of the transformational faculty for Mobius Leadership in the U.S. In an earlier season of life he also co-founded Goodlife Projects, where he conceptualised, built and operated 14 hospitality venues in Central London, and founded a global house music events brand. He has exited two companies, closed one, and knows intimately what it feels like to stand up, fall over and get up again.
Voices
Voices from the circle
Reflections from those who have worked with Alex.
“Alex is one of the most radical practitioners I know, bringing real healing work, including breathwork, to corporate leaders.”
“Getting to know my inner self - truly understanding the patterns, experiences, and influences that shaped who I am - has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey. It has allowed me to recognise what triggers me and to respond with intention rather than impulse.”
“Whether in a group or one to one, Alex takes you on a powerful, eye-opening journey inward toward personal freedom and joy. My heart is open more of the time. I am less reactive, more present with my children and family. My creativity is flowing effortlessly. Working with Alex has changed my life.”
“Alex is a highly intuitive practitioner with a deep trust and grounded hope in the transpersonal. He responds to the themes arising in the group and weaves them into the breathwork journey, making it feel powerfully personal and relational.”
“Alex and the team are brilliant at setting the scene for people to travel inward and go on a journey of self-awareness. Having attended a few events over the years, Alex really is the best at holding space I've seen.”
